Dr. LaKeesha Zuniga is an influential leader and the Vice President of Pharmacy Operations at Cantex. With over 20 years of in-depth experience in long-term care pharmacy, Dr. Zuniga’s expertise is instrumental in driving operational success and innovative care solutions. Since joining Cantex in 2015, she has led performance improvement initiatives across three pharmacy locations, ensuring that operations effectively serve the evolving needs of both nursing teams and patients.

Dr. Zuniga’s strategic focus on financial growth has propelled impactful initiatives that streamline resource allocation and introduce cost-effective, patient-centered solutions. A graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy, Dr. Zuniga earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2002. Beginning her career as a retail pharmacist, she quickly expanded her skill set, advancing into clinical consulting, teaching, and pharmacy management before dedicating her career to long-term care in 2004.
